LIVE IN DETROIT - MOTOR - NOVEMBER 25, 1998 - From the lost DAT tapes, another beautiful find.  From the five year residency I had in Detroit at the legendary MOTOR LOUNGE (1997-2001) - A special HOUSE set which was prepared for a Wednesday Night, the night before Thanksgiving.  House Heads will instantly notice a level of higher intelligence reserved for fans of Derrick Carter, Doc Martin, Mark Farina, Little Louie Vega, etc.  It's the essence of proper tuneage in an era which relied on vinyl.  I went on to win Detroit METRO's favorite CLUB DJ of 1999 for constantly packing MOTOR month after month which went on for almost 5 years.  Great times, Great people.

This is my entrance to 2021.  Hitting the reset button is looking at 30 years in both directions.  With no expectations.  Expectations will leave you disappointed.  Covid-19 leveled the playing field.  A time to reflect and a time to move forward.  It is not easy to make a lasting impression on anyone or anything these days, I am a DJ's DJ.  I always have been.  But it is a curse more then a blessing.  Most DJ's don't care about other DJ's.   It's fine though.  If the floodgates open, I'm once again on the front line. /// Tracklist will follow.

THE BELLS / PURPOSE MAKER / JEFF MILLS / AXIS - Jeff Mills flagship track from Kat Moda was one of the finest techno releases of the 1990's.  It's pretty much Holy Grail.  So first things first, I've been spending most of my free time making music.  Sometimes I get lucky.  In fact if this version didn't excell while I was creating it, I would have simply walked away and left it alone.  But it began to sound really good & punchy.  I started feeling like Jeff would really enjoy it.  

I mean "Let No Man Put Asunder" is one of the most sampled vocals of all time.  But the placement of the words in this one, I heard it in an old 2011 track by Butch, and knew it would accent The Bells well.  It's really subjective but I will leave it up to you.   Enjoy.
