So here we go again same old year same old job same old situation only a little bit worse.&nbsp; Only a little bit worse.&nbsp; In the next 20 minutes maybe I can help you with a few thoughts and maybe some ideas that at least will give you some simple projects and some simple things to start to do that may be able to light a little bit more fire into your life right now.&nbsp; Your life might not be unmanageable but there sure are a number of things that are out of your control and you're not quite sure what to do. &nbsp;Today we wind up our little audio series on how to quit your soul sucking job.&nbsp; The last episode is six minutes and you should listen to it a couple times.&nbsp; And I've heard about it before but since somebody I know and respect talked about it lately, I decided to find out more about The Happiness Project.&nbsp; And so I did a little research and study and I want to learn more because what Gretchen did is ask the question what makes me happy. And it appears that the work she was doing was not making her happy. So someday I would love to have a conversation with Gretchen Rubin and what I will do is go and listen to other interviews and conversations she had and perhaps I could think of a unique idea that would entice her to actually be on my program. I will see about that but I would love to hear from you about your experience with the happiness project... &nbsp;Unfortunately nothing works for everybody all the time. We talked about The Happiness Project and it has been very successful for many people but it may not work all the time end it might not work for you.&nbsp; In fact it might be true that you may not discover real happiness until you are much older in life.&nbsp; Today once again I call on my friend Richard Rohr to help me better understand something that I believe is true.&nbsp; That is that most of us make our greatest achievement and live at our best well past our 40s.&nbsp;&nbsp; And today we are plagued with the rise in suicide, depression, drug use, and deep unhappiness among young people and young adults.&nbsp; &nbsp;And perhaps the answer for all of us is not to make happiness a project but indeed to have service projects in our life that make other people happy. Just an idea for your thought and consideration as we are truly in the twilight zone of trying to figure out how to live a good and happy life today. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

&nbsp;In the USA some of us are wondering if we are being invited as millions of people just walk across the river and come into our country and all the Chinese are sending spy blimps over Montana... What in the world is going on. Our lives might not be unmanageable but unfortunately it seems like our country in the world are in many ways. Well let's have something pleasant and fun to think about so we're gonna talk about everybody wanting to be a cowboy and that's true everybody has an inner cowboy in them somewhere. And almost everybody would love to be on the radio. I know that. Most never are and never do but there is a disc jockey in most of us. Well let me tell you some fun things about that and perhaps invite you to make it a good year even though it's going to be a messy year by doing some new and perhaps unusual and creative things.&nbsp; So put your boots on and turn on your microphone and do a cowboy radio show. Just a few wacky ideas for your thought and consideration and have a nice weekend do something fun with somebody you love. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

&nbsp;Well that's what I want to talk about and I also want to begin to question you about who has a mortgage on your soul? ... And now it is more vital than ever that every week you do an SOS on your office on your inbox and maybe in your life... And we have opportunities for you because today if you want a good job not just a job, you are going to have to help create it yourself. And we can tell you how to start doing it.&nbsp; And if you're going to interview for a job or one interview for a job, everything you've learned before is probably wrong so let me give you some of the new realities about throwing away your résumé and doing something different which is on the agenda for everybody these days.

&nbsp;I sometimes have mixed feelings about the title of these programs. I truly believe that we should talk about interesting ideas whether they are good or bad or just interesting. But sometimes there are things that just need to be said or shared because they are challenging. And because they are challenging we may not have to do anything but in someway we have to make a choice. We can dismiss it as nonsense. We can embrace it as a new reality and perhaps make it part of our own truth.&nbsp; Or perhaps we can decide that we will do something differently or think differently or at least be more thoughtful about some of the patterns of evidence and belief that we have and some of the behaviors we are exhibiting.&nbsp; I was going to talk about mortgage in your soul today but then based on a video that I saw last night on the television program my soul was struck with the reality that I found almost incomprehensible. And yet except for a few brave souls like the one on the program we indeed talk about politics that are irrelevant and stupid balloons put up and dealt with my stupid people.&nbsp; So this is simply my contribution but hopefully a few more people will discover what I discovered and discover that they need to think about that and do something about it.

Could it be that everything we did with Covid was wrong and I'm not going to buy an electric car until they get these things fixed!
