Fast Interlude

I choose the title Counterpoint because that term describes to me the melodies pushing and pulling against one another. In this song you will hear the flutes pushing against the oboes and violins and then coming together in a beautiful trio. I used loops from the Logic library and put them together like puzzle pieces to tell a story.

Counter Point

This is a special song because I started working with the Kontact software from Native Instruments as well as Arcade and Apple Loops and the classic piano in Logic I really worked with the vocals and experimented with them in MIDI. The rhythm and pitch was controlled by me as I wrote the piece.

Riffin Along

This was my second song and it has some groovy piano sections in it. Done the key of C minor, this song has vocals and a snappy beat with wonderful chords as well.

Love Feeling

This is my first song ever. I used apple prerecorded loops and Jef Stott helped with the MIDI.  I also inserted a cool Gregorian chant and some funky beats.

Grooving On The Bend

This song is joyous with the sultry voice of Emilie Schattmann and corresponding piano loops from Arcade software. The sexy intermixing of the piano and synth with her voice is perfectly balanced.  My very favorite song of the whole album. In a happy C major key.

Duchess CT is a San Francisco composer, musician, and producer who has delivered 3 albums: Girls Nite Out (August 1, 2021), Easy Stylin’ (April, 2021), and Next Steps (March, 2020).
