"I hate interruptions," says Bishop Edward Weisenburger. "But I wonder if sometimes interruptions are just the thing we need to redirect our attention to where it actually needs to be. I wonder if sometimes, interruptions aren’t actually the hidden work of God. We must interrupt the patterns of our lives that keep us from embracing the coming of the King. The question is whether or not we really want our world interrupted. We have to ask ourselves: on which side of an upside-down world will we find ourselves?"

She has the perfect freedom to say “yes” to God — to bring God into the world – to build a home for God in her womb, the God who first built a home in this world for her. Yes, it is human nature for a good person to want to do something good for God.  It’s a noble, loving inclination. But it begins for us just as it did for King David, the Virgin Mary, and every saint in history! It begins by cooperating with the initiative He has taken within us."
