a. hello, my name is Luke Mele & I live in Los Angeles. I work in food & bev but I like to spend free time discovering new music, playing out here & there & also occasionally organizing “Third Place” with my friends Phil & Russ since 2017. It’s a hi-fi home listening & house party series in Russell’s living room & back yard up on a beautiful hill here in Echo Park. Designed to offer a “third” space outside of work or home for people to hang & listen to music. Otherwise I love my wife, my dogs, camping & nature, reading <3

q. is there a story behind the mix?
a. was in my feelings making this to be sure … contemplative, emotional, sometimes sad guitar music. Made this mix during a moment of reflection.

q. what’s the best way to enjoy your mix?
a. a long walk, if it’s winter where you are dress warm, might even be better in the cold :)

q. describe a favourite object in your living room...
a. it’s a quilt that my mom made for me. My pap (her father) who passed away a couple years ago was known for his old flannel shirts that he wore all the time. So she gathered them all when he passed, cut them into squares & made several quilts for those close to him to remember him by.

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
a. there are a couple music things in the works that I can’t discuss yet, but otherwise I am always looking forward to camping & spending more time outside (like backpacking Paria Canyon Utah in April)!
