After several years of exploration, this inaugural live performance under the alias S. Chioini represents significant musical growth and maturation. At the heart of the performance is enthralling, danceable club music that embodies the composer's wide-ranging influences. Techno and breaks intertwine in dynamic contrast, extending from 20th-century orchestral music to contemporary electronic avant-garde.

Many around Aotearoa’s capital will remember regular SURFACE nights at the legendary Valhalla between 2016 and 2019. Since then SURFACE has relocated to Amsterdam and can be found on local radio station Echobox.radio, promoting Music from Asia and the Pacific. In parallel to their monthly radio show ,SURFACE, has been hosting bimonthly nights at Bar Theo on Rozengracht and a string of unique events at other underground venues. 



Last month, SURFACE, launched a new event called MASSIEF, celebrating Jungle, Hardcore and Sound System culture in the Dutch Capital.

Recorded live on the 22nd of November 2024, exclusive to Mouthfull Radio, MASSIEF001 was held at Noord Space in Amsterdam-Noord and features two sets from the infamous AMSTERDAM JUNGLIST’s and Pōneke’s own, Son of Sesh.
