Our last DSS of 2023 comes from the Belgian city of Antwerp. Yogg is known for his unique sound design, impact cuts of body-slamming techno with deep synths and sleek rhythms. He released on various labels such as Non Series, Illegal Alien Records, 30D Records, Counterchange, and others.

For DSS 079, he took a different approach, taking down the tempo and starting with some dub related tracks, building towards UK influenced sound to conclude the mix with trippy and breaky techno.

In 2017 his first approach to the world of djing brings him to the local teknival scene, where peak-time 4 to the floor and nu-tribe rollers are being selected by the French artist. With forthcoming releases on @criminaljusticeact and @intelligenceufo, @al_kemia’s explores the deep essence of bionic-tech and psy-trance, feeding the “ever-growing tree” of underground techno.

We're back with our 46th instalment of the UD mix series with Hüda.

Debuting in 2020 on Beats Of No Nation’s ‘Dance Ideas Vol. 6’, and having since released tracks on Pure Space, Companion, DMO and Touch Of Loft, Hüda has garnished support from Australian tastemakers Andy Garvey, Pjenné & Millú, Body Promise, Human Movement, and has received air time on community radio in Sydney and Melbourne. Both Hüda's DJ sets and productions span from euphoric house, to hypnotic jungle and breaks, to leftfield techno, ambient and downtempo.

Hüda’s mix commences with an ethereal and dreamy ambiance, inviting listeners into the journey. It smoothly transitions from deep, hypnotic techno to rolling, rhythmic patterns, intensifying the groove. Clone Records Takeover: Arpanet - 12th May 2018

Amsterdam-based DJ @mattikk began collecting records in the heady years of the mid-2000s. Although he found himself initially attracted to genres as diverse as hardcore, industrial, breakcore and jungle, his tastes soon widened even further to encompass dubstep, techno, and everything in between. 
Over time, his deep musical knowledge and passion for the scene naturally saw him gravitate towards work in the industry, taking up a label manager/A&R role for the legendary Dutch imprint @delsinrecords - a position that he still occupies today.

As a seasoned DJ, Mattikk has held down with residencies at Amsterdam’s Studio 80 and Shelter clubs, as well as hosting a monthly show on @redlightradio. His reputation for envelope-pushing, genre-bending, hypnotic and weird selections has seen him perform at some of the world’s most iconic techno clubs and festivals, including Berghain, De School, Trouw, Dekmantel and Bassiani. Next year promises to be an exciting one for Mattikk, with the inception of his own Delsin sub-label, with releases planned from Forest Drive West and natural/electronic.system., among others.

Building from an initially slow tempo to form a steadily intensifying collage of eclectic selections, Mattikk’s Patterns of Perception 56 is not only cohesive, but also utterly compelling.
