Q. How long have you been a part of the NYC music scene?
A. We’ve been sharing experimental sounds and music and engaging in community with folks in NYC since 2015, so about six years now. We used to commute from Philly for shows and parties and we moved here in November 2019 because we realized our primary artist community is here. 

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. It’s a dance mix, we hope y’all dance in your bedrooms, your rooftops, your fire escapes to this mix. This mix might be a good way to get ready for the club or if the club didn’t give you what you needed tonight.

Juanita's Mix 049: SCRAAATCH

On Friday 7th October, Danish ambient artist Sofie Birch and Polish experimental singer Antonina Nowacka will release a collaborative album via Unsound and Mondoj. To celebrate they’ve now joined forces for an Unsound Podcast featuring some of their favourite music and influences, including Alice Coltrane, Enya, the soundtrack of Tarkovsky’s Andrei Rublev and a special rework of their morning performance at last year’s Unsound into a lush ambient meditation.
