Summer rain: our latest mix comes courtesy of San Francisco lifer Jeremy Castillo, a long time fixture of the SF dance music scene. He was a founding member of Club Lonely, a seminal SF institution that he ran with Vin Sol and DJ Primo, and he now runs what is "probably the best wine bar in the world" aka Bar Part Time. Jeremy is also responsible for curating the bar's impeccable bookings and its unmissable mix series and newly launched label Bar Part Time Recordings.

We've been bugging Jeremy to add to the Sharp FM series for years at this point, and we couldn't be happier that he finally found time to deliver a perfect summer mix. Some notes about from Jeremy himself: "[This is] a somber summer rain mix with a bit of off the beaten path synthpop, guitar laden disco, reggae dubs, and stuff played at the wrong speed."

For Sessions 12, I tapped one of LA’s finest selectors, kindred spirit Luke Mele.

Luke delivers a 2.5+ hour marathon — a morning-time sipper that eases into an afternoon dance delight. It’s a lush journey through summertime spiritual jazz, fusion, soul, and disco, all pulled from crates at the iconic Last Bookstore in downtown LA.
~
Over the years, Luke has spent time digging at the shop, which he says holds a very special meaning to him. Hence the name of the mix: “Fifth and Spring.”

Mutant Radio (Tbilisi, GE) monthly residency, episode #49, July '25. Including a guest mix from Paris by local man of taste Morgan Beattie (first hour). Rumour has it he was my old roommate from back in the Vondelpark days, and his room was basically the birth place of the show (since the first few Inner Overtones episodes were recorded in Morgan’s box back then). Time for some reminiscing with the homie, who’s currently running his own show Les Chroniques De Sisyphe at Radio Sofa!
