o•rbyss aims to help soothe the queer spectrum and focus on the well-being of the community. Queer DJs are invited to submit a mix to showcase an alternative side to their music library outside of a rave and take us on a meditative journey. ✨

Notes on the mix:

"I find ways of healing in my daily life by utilizing music as a conduit to express the unsaid. Oftentimes, in mixes I create solace through building a narrative of what is currently happening in my life. For this narrative, I find myself writing a series of lost love letters to many ghosts, some to older versions of myself. Songs ranging from percussive to ambient, jungle, footwork and Billie Eilish, I hope others can see that mixes can be more than just entertainment, but also a therapy of sorts."

Residing between Ohio and New Jersey, Love Higher is a dynamic DJ and visionary producer who crafts awe-inspiring, genre-blending experiences that transport audiences into electrifying realms. With an eclectic range that spans Baile Funk, Footwork, Ghetto Tech, Techno, and beyond, Love Higher takes listeners on a sonic journey like no other.

As a proud member of the esteemed Blessed Up Gang, a remarkable Black DJ collective rooted in Ohio, as well as VRRG (OH) and SLICK DOWN (NYC), their influence and artistry extend far and wide. You can find their exhilarating DJ mixes released on pivotal series such as Jerome, Femmethug, Daisychain, and Somersault Records and they have played at venues and party series such as Elsewhere, Mood Ring, Hot Mass (PGH) and Headcleaner (OH).
