We juiced up our old iPods (mine was in use between ~2003-2007!) and let shuffle do the selecting for us. I like to think this is not purely nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake, but an exercise in reflecting upon early listening habits with the emergence of advanced portable tech. It’s funny seeing some of these songs & artists again. Some I’d completely forgotten about but can recall where I had originally heard them or downloaded them from — Big Sonic Chill on FM 94.9, music blogs, indie films like Andrew Bujalski’s Mutual Appreciation, falling down rabbit holes on the iTunes store, wishlisting songs then downloading them off Limewire… 🍋‍🟩I hope you enjoy!
