A soundscape/soundcollage for an art installation and education project that explored the mysteries of perception and place. Fifty Primary School children were taken from their urban environment to a rural sculpture park to experience the place through the many lenses of contemporary artists. We made teleidoscope viewers that doubled up as listening devices, amplifying the sounds of nature and the audio possibilities of the sculptures. This soundscape is a collage of recordings made on mobile phones, some using mics and windshields, and sound elements from film captured during the visits by Create Digital.

Kaleidoscopic Fieldtrip

Found travelling sounds of sky, sea, cathedral, train, writing, longing and a Cornish garden - woven together following my graphic score indigo drawing of clouds in a concertina sketchbook. 

The haunting singing excerpt is from an In Cahoots outdoor theatre event at Heligan Gardens with additional beautiful song from a bird, believed to be a nightingale, that sang out from the trees nearby.
