Cold Magic gently reflects the feelings of wanting to relive the past while simultaneously dreading the possibility of ever going back. The lyrics relate of craving something so deeply but knowing it would be detrimental to you.

Cold Magic also touches on how one loses clarity over time. Memories become jumbled and the past blurs into dreams. You close your eyes and within that quiet moment materializes your sparkly remembrance projected onto the walls of your imagination.

Confused and unsettled, but ultimately in love with the moment regardless of its flaws you beg to keep indulging without punishment.

Cold Magic is a heartfelt reflection of getting older and missing your youth, your past, yourself. You want it all but are always being forced to choose and then you must live with the consequences. Pretty damn unfair if you ask me.

Hallo (pronounced Hollow) is a cozy indie rock band that hails from the weird and hot-as-hell city of Austin, Texas. Their debut single, Cold Magic, released Friday 2.24.23, the same night they played a sold-out show at Mohawk, Austin, TX.

Set to release in 2023.
