This is the “idee fixe” music for the Whittier recordings. This was done with seven layers of synthesizer music, using pre-designed and pre-recorded loops from the Garage Band App. A cello is also utilized. 
Musically, I would describe this as an impressionistic walk under the shady trees of Cadbury Road in Whittier. I recall such a walk as being highly relaxing and invigorating at the same time. Earbuds recommended.

As with the other pieces in the Whittier collection, this too is an impressionistic, dream-like visit to Hoover Avenue in Whittier during the summer of 1971. As we stroll up the shady street from Broadway, we can’t help but notice the startling beauty of the many oleander trees that front the quaint old houses. As we near the beige house in the middle of the street, we can hear a rock band jamming in the backyard. Now we are walking down the driveway to see who’s there, and to watch the band play. There are four long-haired boys playing electric guitars, bass and drums inside the old, dilapidated garage. A dozen long-hairs and their chicks stand on the backyard lawn smoking cigarettes. They talk amongst themselves, saying the band is terrible, and play too loud. The bass player sees a chick in the crowd and decides he wants to trip with her, so he ends the jam… in a dream.

A clock on the wall is ticking…backward. Synthesizer music is a Time Machine, taking you back to 1962, at the Hotel Booker T. Washington in San Francisco with your date, Louise.  You are having drinks while listening to Paul Desmond play his jazz saxophone. Louise thinks the music is very cool. Then the Ghost Girls appear inside the cafe, singing as an ethereal choir of the dead from 2024, while Louise lights a cigarette in 1962.

This is American Anti-Music. It is not affiliated with the American “Mainstream” Music industry, or any foreign country. I am an 'outsider' artist, and have been a writer, photographer and jam musician since the 60’s. This anti-music is as raw as it gets. Totally organic and authentic. If this music were a woman, she would be naked with no make-up on. I tend to see these musical creations as weird impressionist paintings, but set to sound. It is highly recommended to use earbuds or headphones when listening to this anti-music. Thank you my friends!
