Perfect pop is songs you always felt existed. Perfect pop is music that exists on the outer fringes of our consciousness, elusive but in us all, fundamental but somehow out of reach. Perfect pop is Chareth Cutestory’s ‘What Did I Miss’, presented to you by TT.

A collection of shimmering bedroom pop within. The close mic’d yearning of opener ‘Slide’ has all the regret-ridden intimacy of a hand-scrawled diary entry, followed by the swoon-inducing bittersweetness of ‘Underneath’. It’s a union of melancholy and optimism — glimmers of The Radio Dept., The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Rocketship and any number of cherished guitar-first melody crafters run through this release like the memory-triggering soundtrack to some faded teenage dream.

‘Chasing’ and the title track seem designed to wrench hearts and birth sighs, made for wistful bike rides and golden hour buses home. But for all the rear-mirror-facing sentiment, this music is ultimately about what’s to come — as skygazing closer ‘Another Day’ attests. There’s more life to live.

‘Tape Vol 1’ is a tour diary mixtape, capturing the raw, nostalgic energy of the 4 day AirBnb studio bender in Da Lat, Vietnam. Over 7 tracks, the group pour their hearts over 90s Filipino karaoke and rare Korean YouTube rips with nothing but a busted microphone, case of 333 beer and an assortment of Vietnamese cigarettes. 

STINGA embraces a DIY approach to collaboration, while leaning into sincere and heartfelt storytelling. The group celebrate their friendships, resilience, losses and aspirations in the underground rap and electronic communities of Australia
