A NEW SENSATION - HAPPY HARDCORE VINYL ONLY MIX

Seeing as we have no new podcast for you this week, we went for something a bit different and asked BASS GENERATOR for an oldie. Here he is Hogmanay 1993 with wall to wall classics which defined the 90s Scottish Rave sound for us at least!

Bear in mind this is from back in the day, probably a tape so sound quality isnt up to todays digital standards but hey its Oldskool ;)

ORIGINAL Ultimate Buzz - ORIGINAL Deejay Project!

If you’re an advocate of the saying, “No Skool Like The Old Skool”, we’ve got you covered. Rab’s managed to locate and upload some of his many classic sets, from some of the UK’s most iconic dance music venues. Our man has some phenomenal individual accolades to his name, including Scotland's #1 DJ, as voted by the radio forth stepping out listeners, this to add to the many awards he gained during his time with the UB crew. It didn't stop there, after his time with Ultimate Buzz, Rab went it alone, starting the "Original" Deejay Project, releasing 2 very successful solo EP's.

Check out Rab's live radio interview with Radio Forth's Tom Wilson and fellow band member Callan Bright. A real insight into the mindset of the band at the height of their success during the mid-90s. Given the fact that both Callan and Tom have sadly passed away now, it makes this interview a lot more “deep and meaningful” (Rab’s own words).

As well as his current DJ residencies, Rab is also back in the studio and all but finished his new solo project. An infusion, of "Hip-Hop", "House" & "Old Skool Tekno" vibes. He’s now working with new producer "Mark Thorburn", who's also thrown in his very own,  "Alternative Rock" edge. The album tells the story of the rise and fall of his time with Ultimate Buzz, going right back to the days when Callan and Rab were a DJ & MC act. The project also tackles other sensitive subjects such as, “Social Media, Mental Health and Family”.

Look out for “Talez From Tha Hill” dropping 2024!…
