Kiwi singer-songwriter PRINS is kicking off 2021 with a bang(er). The Christchurch-based artist has released her first single of the year, 'Follow Me' - an electro-pop anthem sure to secure a spot on Saturday night's playlist.
Exploring the escapist allure of hard-partying hedonism, 'Follow Me' is perfectly suited to the claustrophobic confines of clubs and tightly-packed dancefloors. With its catchy hook and infectious backdrop of tech-house electronica, 'Follow Me' encapsulates the irresistible pull of the dark and destructive. 
This latest offering sees PRINS follow in the footsteps of electro-pop predecessors Ke$ha and Tove Lo, wrapping raw depictions of self-indulgent excess - "I'm a danger to myself / I put my mind up on the shelf / Let my demons just have their way"  - in accessible, upbeat dance music. 
After kicking off the year with Bay Dreams Nelson and Electric Avenue, PRINS will continue her string of high-powered performances at three headline shows next month in Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. With hundreds-of-thousands of streams to her name and a number of festivals under her belt, PRINS is picking up steam as New Zealand's next pop powerhouse.
