(Dear Listener as this recording is a first take, some of the lyrics had
not been perfected and the arrangement of the verses and instrumental
are different on later takes. The song is about a time I was in New York City, and saw a girl crying at a restaurant table, went up and spoke with her, trying to reassure her things would be ok, as she had just split up with her boyfriend. I never found out her name, but she is still out there somewhere and I hope she managed to find the happiness and love she was missing. This song is dedicated to her, wherever she may be. It is a song I only last week performed twice live on stage and seems to have become a favourite with many people already. Thanks for reading this and I hope you too enjoy! All the best!)

ummm um there were a lot of mistakes in this song because i just recorded it super quick on my phone. but anyways, as always, i hope this finds you safely and softly! 
please please hold on to the people who make you feel like you're sitting in the stars whenever you're around them. they do not come very often. and to the people who so blatantly destroy you, i wish with everything in me that you learn to let them slip away. they are not worth the madness. it feels scary for a while but eventually your sun will shine inevitably. (or if you're like me and you adore the rain, then your clouds will shade forever.) know that one day the dark days will pass. you learn to do things on your own and to mend your own heart, and that's the beauty of it all.
