Dieser Song trägt seinen Namen, weil sein Herzstück ein Sample ist, das ich aufgenommen habe, als mein CD Player (Wecker) anging - ziemlich weirdes Geräusch kam da raus. Auch die Vocals stammen aus diesem Sample - ich hab am ende der Aufnahme gesagt: "Das isch denn mi CD Player wo ahgoht", um später noch zu wissen, was ich da eigentlich aufgenommen habe.

shadowplay bedeutet, dass im unterbewusstsein dinge mitschwingen, die wir nicht bewusst wahrnehmen. genau deshalb habe ich den einen song und die ep so benannt. die ep reflektiert ereignisse aus meinem inneren im letzten jahr. mit dem release fühlt es sich an, als hätte ich diese vorgänge überwunden.

Am 21.03. durfte ich im wundervollen Kauz Club in Zürich den Abend für Frida Darko und Horst Haller eröffnen. Oliver Koletzki kam spontan auch noch vorbei und hat später mit Frida ein B2B gespielt. Ich würde mich wundern, wenn ich diesen Abend jemals vergesse. Kauz, du bist wundervoll. <3

Pius moves through the world of downtempo and electronica, shifting effortlessly between playful and beautiful to deep and juicy. He loves catching the crowd off guard with a track we all know from back in the day—only to pull them right back into his hypnotic flow. Becoming one with the audience is what he thrives on.
