Starting this week, we take at a look at the local scene here in Perth, Western Australia. We got to have an in depth chat to 3 very different individual. The young Amber Scates, who is newly 18 but been around on the music scene for a while. All that time playing with her Rock/Jazz inspired band, Raksha. There is the fast growing singer/songwriter Teischa, who is making waves all over australia at the moment and even overseas! Our investigation into women in the Perth music scene then lead to Dr. Laura Glitsos, Adjunct Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Curtin University. Who is a 2 time West Australian Music Awards,Female Singer of the Year turned academic. She just recently finished her Phd with some very interesting findings.
