Topic: Women in taking up political roles and the role of the affirmative action bill

In Ghana's 8th parliament in the 4th republic has 40female paiamentarians.
An increase from 36 in the 7th parliament.
The presidents appointment saw only 8 women included.
A feast worth applauding although there is still more room for improvement as it is still below the UN approved threshold of 30% at the beijin conference in 1995.

Women are now getting empowered. Women are becoming more assertive and with the America having a Vice presidential as a woman in tge person of kamala harris anf selection of Vp candidate by the ndc there seem to be that awakening that women are able to also take leadership or political role

However do we need more female representation in politics?
