Story 
The three first met at Brecon Fringe Festival where they were part of a collaborative group performing Terry Riley’s minimalist classic ‘In C’. The following year they performed together at Brecon Jazz Festival performing Gerard Cousins’ arrangement of Miles Davis’ ‘In a Silent Way’. Eager to continue the success of this collaboration bYd were formed and performed their debut concert at the 2018 Brecon Jazz Festival. 

Sounds 
bYd freely embrace their diverse influences (contemporary classical, jazz, free 
improvisation, roots and folk) and for this album have chosen Welsh folk tunes as a starting point from which to journey. Bridging carefully constructed textures and interplay with minimalistic grooves and free improvisation.
