Grip Thing

I wrote this chord progression when I was about 19... (a long freekin time ago) and have had it on a cassette tape waiting for lyrics all that time. When I saw the protests break out in Iran, I knew what I wanted to say. While I am sitting here comfortably in my living room, it's the least I can offer. Watching the brave women and men of Iran with hope and anticipation, and sympathy for all those you've lost.

This is a repost. First mix was boxy. (Still in my learning curve) Written way back when the 'Big 3' still ruled the world... I mean ABC, NBC and CBS. It was a sort of joke; a song mocking the tepid Hays Code sensibilities of prime time tv, based in prime time signatures. Co-written with my first bass player Erik Vargas (not pictured). Bass and drums in this are midi. But that's my old band in the picture. We actually use to play it faster... stupid fast sometimes.

Dream Dance

At first this channel was only going to be songs I wrote for my rock band back in the 90s, but didn't start recording until the lockdown. Then I decided to just post all the songs I wrote before the band and after. It'll be easy to tell the difference. haha. I play guitars and sing and do bass & drums in midi. (There is an obvious learning curve in these recordings. I'm getting better with EQ and mixdowns as I go)
