Following a fallow 2020, Marginal Returns is proud to present the solo debut of Berlin-based, Sardinian-born Enrica Falqui (who has previous releases as half of techno project Eris and half of experimental project Yhdessa).

Plexus splits the difference between Falqui's ambient and dance floor modes. Side A opener ‘Veda’ is a hopeful downbeat dawning, A2 ‘Mond’ a Burger/Ink reminiscent slice of Pop Ambient and side closer ’What She Got Right’ songful and contemplative. Side B is darker, faster, and for the night, containing the EBM-tinged stomp of ‘Plexus’ and afters-electro glide of ‘Aquarius’.

@sarica_music is a DJ and producer from Germany Munich, who sparks her passion for DJing during the Corona pandemic. Her signature is groovy, rhythmic, dark Raw Techno with Hardgroove old school-based techno from the late 90s and early 2000s. She is member of paradox Booking Augsburg Germany since September 2021. She already played big club shows in Germany, Croatia, Malta, Austria, Mexico and South Korea and took part at the big festivals World Club Dome Pool Session, Frankfurt and Ikarus Festival, Memmingen, Germany.

Sarica is a DJane and producer from Germany Munich, who sparks her passion for DJing during the Corona pandemic. Her signature Sound is groovy, rhythmic, dark Raw Techno with Hardgroove in the peak. Furthermore she loves to collect rare Oldschool Records. She is spinning since summer 2021 as a resident DJ in Club Paradox Augsburg. In the beginning of 2023 she joined the label „People of Poison“ from Munich. Performing in different regions like South Korea, Mexiko and in Mid Europe she spread her groovy sets. Besides that, her Releases “Obsidian” at Berlin Techno Label “Not Equal Records” and „Sodalite“ at „Sinope Recordings, collaborations with her partner Sub.Vision, already reached the TOP50 Techno charts on Beatport.

SARICA :
Everything Sarica does is focused on the dancefloor. It is a simple objective, but never dull, never
boring, and never one-dimensional. Going out for years herself, building long-lasting friendships
through the club scene, and dancing on a dozen different dance floors made her experience what makes or breaks a night.
During the turbulent times of the Corona pandemic, she finally gave in to this passion and became more than just a consumer of the scene. Day by day, collecting, mixing, and producing new sounds, what once was a hobby began to grow. She quickly captivated the people surrounding her with her honest approach to Techno. It wasn’t about being a performer – she was one with the crowd. An avid dancer and by that a DJ, that was able to project her energy onto the crowd like rarely seen before.
Quickly more and more people became aware of Sarica’s sound: punchy, groovy, impulsive, and yet soulful. In 2021 she started her residency with the famous Paradox Club in Augsburg, where she
could bring her distinctive Hardgroove sound onto their massive Funktion One sound system. This opportunity only fueled her passion and put Sarica on the radar for a new audience. In 2022 her gigs were not only limited to Germany but even expanded to the Asian continent where she built strong relationships with the Korean underground scene and got invited to play at some of their most
influential clubs like Output and Shelter. Once back in Europe, the ride didn’t stop. In Croatia, she played at the biggest club Boogaloo Zagreb, where headliners like Paul Kalkbrenner and Jeff Mills already played. Aside from that she performed in one of Berlin's most influential venues ://about blank.
This only reinforced her commitment to the sound which she began to produce herself and release on labels like “Not Equal Records” and „Sinope Recordings”. Her next Track will be released on VA of an Argentinian record label by end of this year with well-known producers of the Groove Techno
scene.
Even more established clubs now noticed that Sarica not only had the technical skills that are needed as a DJ but even more importantly can translate her energy onto their dancefloor. Playing slots at places like Rote Sonne in Munich and Grelle Forelle in Vienna, which already exist for decades, made them realize that Sarica draws people onto the dancefloor and there is no stopping coming from

Originally from the South of Vietnam, she made the life-changing decision to move to Ha Noi in 2022 to pursue her passion for music. As a resident DJ of the HaNoi Underground Movement (HUM), Ai Lien's sets are known for their unique blend of techno, house, and breakbeat, characterized by their colorful and uplifting energy. With dedication and a humble approach, she continues to explore new sounds and gain experience, aiming to create

Excited to share with you my very first set of 2024, recorded live at Ratherlost party at LoFi, Amsterdam on January 1st, 2024. 
It was truly one of the best NY shows I've ever been a part of. The club was completely packed and on fire as I took over the decks following Quelza & Nørbak’s incredible B2B set. My aim was to keep this massive momentum going while leading the floor on a journey to get lost in the music. Hope you can feel this mood and energy from the recording.

Friend


Friend is the DJ project of Dominic Irla (age 33) from Cape Town, South Africa, where he spent his early years as a dedicated promoter and music journalist in the thriving festival circuit (founder of Psymedia in 2010).
In 2018, a friend travelled to Southeast Asia and established himself as a formidable DJ and promoter in Hanoi, Vietnam, for 3+ years. From sandy beaches down south and mystical caves up north, reputable promoters by the likes of Savage, Studio Adventure Collective, Defused Mood, Electric Bazaar, Equation, VibeNation, and We Groove; Friend played at many clubs, festivals, and tropical jungle raves across the country.
In 2020, Friend co-founded the Vietnam-based record label Magic Box Engine; pushing out eclectic releases, guest mixes, events, and art. The label also became known for their conceptual “This is” events and wild MBE after-parties in unique locations within the underground music scene of Hanoi. 
By the end of 2021 friend marked the end of his chapter in Vietnam and returned to Cape Town as an independent DJ. Since his resurgence on home soil - he's been featured regularly on lineups at the mighty Mødular precinct; namely Destination Saturn, Killer Robot, Revival, and the SBCLTR Collective.
Notable festival gigs in South Africa so far include Origin Festival, Into the Wild, Organik Love Project, Tribal Groove, H20 NYE, Bazique Festival, AfrikaBurn, Psymedia Under the African Sky, With You’s Rumours by the Lake, Mantra Music Festival, and Alien Safari x Vortex Little Forest NYE.
Whether it’s downtempo, house, minimal, techno, electro, or breakbeat - Friend is a true digger who’s never afraid to switch up the tempo or genre. Heavily inspired by his nomadic travels in Southeast Asia, Latin America and Europe; he taps into a sonic world without borders and delivers obscure yet tasteful mixes for any time of day or night. His signature sounds are often riddled with groovy basslines, acid frequencies, hypnotic atmospheres, and psychedelic undertones.
