How I Dealt With Death💀

Transitioning from a Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical Unit/Tele Floor to the Intensive Care Unit is a HUGE change, but heres a Hint (Time Management)

Medical-surgical nursing has evolved from an entry-level position to an adult health specialty which I noticed is no longer viewed as stepping-stone but is the solid rock and the backbone of every nursing community. Then when you get the chance go into the Critical Care Unit and here is my personal experience my fellow Nurses.

Transitioning Experience from Tele❤️/Medsurg To 😷ICU

I discuss my personal experiences on what to expect for you brand spanking new RN students and How To Pass 1ST SEMESTER with a bonus(10 NEW STUDY TIPS)

1st Nursing becomes your life & your wife because you will be married to it. (Deal w/ it)
2nd Always be on time or early as needed. 
3rd  Sit in front of class 
4th  Silence your phone while in Class.
5th  Be as organized as can be. 
6th  Hold back from partying or going out. 
7th  Pray to GOD & be thankful that you finally made first semester.
8th  Study for 1hr & take small 15min breaks but no longer 
9th  Exercise on your days off to relieve stress.
10th Show your instructors that you want to learn in clinical.

How To Pick Your Nursing Specialty?

5 Tips for Prioritizing on the MedSurg Floor for all my fellow nurses.
1. Come to work 15 min before your shift.
2. Utilize your 4 color pen for admits, D/C, transfers & passing meds.
3. Collaborate with other medical staff
4. Communication is key and report off well.

It's a different generation & times have changed with things more modern then they used to be since Nightingale. Being a Registered Nurse is not solely based on race, religion or ethnicity!!! So why should having tattoos be in issue? I'm covered in them & each have meaning, But my ink has never gotten in the way of my patient care. In fact after my patient was extubated and once able to speak stated, "Nice Ink" so tag a present or future Nurse with Ink & represent your individuality✊😷 #Individuality

Tattoos In Nursing (My Personal Experiences)

NurseMendoza is a Critical Care Registered Nurse for UCSD Medical Center & a Scrubs Magazine Representative.
He puts his seven years of healthcare experience to work in the ICU, caring for their acuity ill patients, stroke victims, patience with neurological disorders, burn victims & now Cardiovascular ICU.
He started his own video educational blog detailing his experiences, providing tips for his fellow nurses, and sharing his passion with the world. His digital Nursing presence catapulted him into the national spotlight, with appearances on the television show, “The Doctors” and features in several national publications with Scrubs magazine, & All hearts digital magazine.
