Just thought of something interesting I've never shared here. When doing my leaving cert/final high school year two months before the exam I said Hmmm... what about music... so I decided to add it as a subject. given I hadn't taken classes that made the theory quite challenging. I got close to full marks in the practical but the written test I had to answer in an unusual way. I didn't know the terms at the time so I just described it instead. It's interesting to think about it now the idea of imagining your own answer for something and then having that confirmed or denied. I would have still been marked down heavily for not knowing the terms but I arguably got it more then most. There's definitely something to be said for trying to teach yourself something first maybe and then merging your imagination with what's actually been discovered...

I'm wondering does it drill it in better that way having your own reference first and then the realm knowledge... Maybe we are more likely to find new ways that way too playing into the individuals imagination before they discover other ways it's understood up to that point.

Maybe that order of learning something plays into the fruits of association memory better and is maybe like how some mentalists and illusionists use it. I would imagine your imagined answer and the storing of the actual answer when you find that out are stored in different parts of the brain maybe giving better reference for the brain and improved neuroplasticity on the matter.
