I stood inside an empty room
A silent bed and a chair.
A table and a darkened lamp
Was all that witnessed me there.
The pillows held the secrets
Of the softly uttered prayers,
And absorbed with love and tenderness
My silent, fallen tears.

The trappings of it’s better days
Now fading away in the Sun.
Which has warmed it’s walls, with gentle rays
Sweet and soft the memories of love.
The spirit lingers quietly
As my memories reframe,
To most it’s just an empty room
But to me it’s not the same.


In the silence of the vacuum of
This lowly but perfect private place.
Brings to mind the times of happiness
Which time itself cannot erase.
That which went up from this chamber
Though now it seems, there’s nothing here,
Will be reserved, in Heavenly quarters
When rooms for time has disappeared.
