Kill your darlings" is a writing adage meaning to ruthlessly cut, delete, or remove, cherished sentences, scenes, characters, or plot points that you love but which do not serve the overall story. 
I’ve used the metaphor to refer to a lovers relationship that has come to an end, hence Don’t Kill Our Darlings.
All them good times we spend and enjoy together will be now cut out of our lives forever.
I wrote the song back in July 2021 and did a demo version. Conscience of Kings also recorded a studio version but it was never released.
I’m trying to touch base more a bit like I did when I first started and record just the basic acoustic versions of my songs for release from time to time. I’m a massive fan of acoustic songs ever since I heard Use Me by The Teardrop Explodes.
