"On my tiptoes I loosened the screws of parched gears, leaving it to fate to bring down my fake ivory skeleton with a gust of wind. 
My name has been written among the creeks of the time - every name should be like this - but no one has ever reminded me of it. The nuances are imperceptible letters that curve the gaze, small gems given away in the Pisces era. 
Last night I saw tomorrow in a succession of twelve blades, like a pond that suddenly turns into an ocean of tears. It is that smell that penetrates the senses just before the rain arrives, the muddy scent of burnt silk. 
I play arpeggios of inconsistent notes with the unfinished idea of an abstract smile, colored sketches that are linked to my abandoned dreams, thrown into the basement of memory. Timidly I open that door and I sit on the antique armchair in the center of the room. Beyond the walls there is only the mute din of nothing calling me, but I do not answer and with bare feet I wait for the water to rise, touching my skin. 
What is a metamorphosis if not the suffering of a new life? I vomit golden placenta and beg my shadow not to go away. I shake her hand that slowly indulges at the crossroads and, at dawn, a hill of snow-covered cedars turns into my new dwelling. 
Today it is the precious metal that I fold without hurting myself, shiny and unscratchable. Tomorrow I will see my bloody shadow again and among crystal fragments I will dance with him again as a gift that I will repeat until my peaceful farewell." Francis Gri

We continually curate the galleries of our mind, this dream we each are in the universe. A seance of world premiere meetings. Such is meditation too. It is beyond words, and yet we know it. How far can we go? We honor life, this opportunity of existence and healing we’re given. We use it and sing it through. Our life is cosmic synchronicity made manifest.

BILL LASWELL & PETE NAMLOOK 'Outland' 6CD Boxset (CSR327BX)

The 'Outland' album series was a collaborative endeavour by the visionary US bassist-producer Bill Laswell and the late German musician Peter Namlook that pushed the boundaries of dark ambient and electronic music. 

Spanning five albums released over a thirteen year period from 1994, this new boxset serves as a testament to the creative synergy between the two masterminds.

At the time the duo joined forces, the New York-based Laswell was already a famous producer with a massive client list that included cutting-edge rock, pop, funk, jazz and electronic artists, but he had also founded the Axiom label in 1989 and been responsible for groundbreaking work in genres that included ambient, dub and world music. Namlook was recognised as a pioneering figure in the ambient techno scene, having founded the label FAX +49-69/450464 in his native Frankfurt in 1992.

'Outland' became a fusion of their individual musical sensibilities that resulted in a unique set of releases. At the heart of the series is an exploration of sound as a vehicle for emotion and contemplation, with Laswell's signature basslines and experimental soundscapes interweaving seamlessly with Namlook's ethereal textures and intricate sonic layering. Each album is characterised by a sense of expansiveness, taking listeners on a voyage through rarely charted sonic dimensions. All have the ability to evoke a wide range of emotions and have their own distinctive sonic palette, ranging from ambient tranquility to cosmic intensity.

'Outland' has endured as an influential touchstone, its impact felt not only in its captivating soundscapes but also in its invitation to engage in deep introspection and cosmic contemplation. With each album, the duo beckoned listeners to transcend the mundane and embark on a sonic voyage into the extraordinary, where sound becomes a conduit for spiritual and artistic expression.

The lavish matte-finish boxset opens to the 5 "Outland" albums in separate matte sleeves, with all-new designsby Abby Helasdottir (Gydja), and all audio completely remastered by Martin Bowes (The Cage). This box also contains a new addition to the OUTLAND series - an album of dense, bass space drone by Bill Laswell, entitled "Blackland". The boxset also contains an exclusive card with an essay about the project written by BIll Laswell, July 2023.

Mannequin is really proud to announce an expanaded double-LP of 'Exploded View' from minimal synth Dutch pioneers The Actor.

Originally released in 1982 by Trumpett Tapes, the album was repressed for the first time by Mannequin Records in 2014, and now is coming back to life again in 2022, enriched by an extra full-lenght of demos from a 1981-1984 period.

Singing both in English and German, The Actor songs are often related to modernism, fashion and dancing, like a sort of early incarnation of Depeche Mode but totally devoted to home taping and diy recordings, where Trumpett was definitely the perfect home for it, having releasing such amazing cassettes from Doxa Sinistra, Ende Shneafliet, Dr C.Stein, and many more.

A must have for the dusty/rusty analog synthesizers lovers. Mega TIP!!!
