Just out of curiousity, who says that it is equivalent to chanting the whole Chandi? It seems so many short stotrams that are chanted around the Chandi or are based on its contents make this claim.   Why would this stotram always be chanted after the Chandi, if you only needed to fully master it alone?  It is one of my favorites, but still I never could understand why these types of claims are made. Each has its own benefits. By this logic, if one just chanted OM or HREEM once with full understanding, that would be enough.  JAI MAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
