Retro rock. I have always loved that era 1940's - 1950's when instruments were first electrified and the beginnings of rock'n'roll were being played primarily by jazz musicians. That's the vibe I am looking for with this track...
Edit 9th June 2021: Thanks for all the helpful feedback. I have adjusted the sax tone as suggested by a few friends and (hopefully) the sound is improved...
Edit 10th June: More alteration to the playing style of the sax thanks to advice from Mikey - a real sax player.
Edit 20/6/21: Ditched the fake sax and added some sax curtesy of Mark Douthit (BB loops). It's still 'cheating' but at least now the sax is a real sax player...

Night Flight

In the 'top end' of Australia the indigenous people recognise six seasons. When the Europeans arrived they could only discern two, known simply as 'the wet' and 'the dry'.
In the wet the dirt roads turn to slush and the rivers become un-crossable, leaving many communities and individuals stranded.
'Going troppo' is a term used to describe a kind of craziness that people can suffer in the interminable heat and humidity. It probably isn't alleviated by the fact that many Australians, when rendered inactive, resort to the pastime of heavy drinking...
