Peter Enns is a professor in the Government department at Cornell University and executive director of the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research. Professor Enns has published work across major media outlets such as The Washington Post and The New York Times. He joined WVBR's Christopher to share his thoughts on the upcoming midterm election.

Speaker Carl Heastie and Housing Committee Chair Steven Cymbrowitz today announced passage of legislation to extend and strengthen rent protections for tenants across the state (A.8281, Heastie). Rent regulations are set to expire at the end of the day on June 15, 2019.

WVBR is dedicated to providing more voices to news around women's athletics and has proudly followed the Cornell Women's Ice Hockey team in the last year. However, at the professional level, over 200 women's hockey players announced a boycott to not play another professional game without their demands met. WVBR's Christopher Morales wanted to learn more about the situation with more from Cornell Hockey voices.

Centerline is a locally owned business in Ithaca that offers Fitness and Martial Arts classes to ages ranging from 4 - 70.  The studio recently doubled in size, added lots of fun new equipment, and their class schedule has grown considerably.  The Martial Arts Program consists of Kids Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, Kuntao Silat, Kali, Tai Chi, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  Their fitness program consists of Bootcamp, HIIT classes, Yoga, Kettlebells and private coaching. 

WVBR recently sat down with some of Centerline’s leadership to talk about their vision for a healthy lifestyle for Ithacans of all ages.
