About this edit :
The early songs of Dr. John fascinate with their unique mixture of Creole Folklore, Rhythm & Blues and Psychedelic Rock. This special genre is called Voodoo Rock. For me the song „I walk on Guilded Splinters“ is the epitome of Voodoo Rock.
Due to its reduced instrumentation, with long percussive passages, mystical and haunting vocals, it was particularly suitable for editing, remixing and transforming it into a new century. I really hope to get the chance to play this song at one or the other festival this summer.
