When I was younger on the healing path, Blue Shiva came to me in a vision. Until I saw pictures years later, I did not know who and what he represented.

Shiva as part of the great Hindu triad is known as the destroyer or transformer. He is also known as the great meditator. There are many ways to chant to Shiva, and this mantra really resonated with me when I first heard it from an inspired yogi. Shvia's power to pull me towards a meditative state quickly, accompanied by the shruti box was the root of my practice for many years.

“We experience the world as we do because of our physiological architecture. We interpret the waves and vibrations that constitute 'reality' as a world of shapes and sounds and colors, only because of the way we are built. 
Our sensory receptors are honed in on specific and narrow bands of perception. 
The electro-magnetic spectrum extends well beyond our visual range. 

Although most of us can see only within the area between infra red and ultra violet, the spectrum continues both above and below our ability to perceive. 
In very similar fashion we can only hear vibrations that fall within a narrow range of frequencies. If we were built differently, we would then perceive the world differently

Japji is the song of the soul 
- a prayer, an infusion into the celestial sound current that was channelled by Guru Nanak in his 3 day journey under the water. It invites us to clear the universal confusion of the mind, come back to the magic, wonder and bliss of the present moment available through the remembrance of the holy Naam. 

It is normally recited in the early ambrosial hours (4-7am) but can be enjoyed anytime. 

This recording was done in the ambrosial hours with love in Phoenix Arizona, 2011 with the birds and wind chimes. There's a few pronunciation errors, sorry!

This is a live recording of John Beaulieu and Philippe Garnier playing the Planet and Asteroid Tuning Forks on March 2, 2013 at the SAGE Concert in Woodstock NY. The sounds are created by gently striking the tuning forks with crystals and gems which are attached to a pendulum. Each sound is chosen using divination and sounded by the crystal / gem stone used in the pendulum divination process.
