Sphemandla Welcome Kunene  professionally known as EX Lowkey, is a South African recording, performing artist, rapper, songwriter and businessman, originates from Nelspruit (City of Mbombela) in the Mpumalanga Province, growing up he always had a passion for music. 

He started rapping at the age of 12 and later released his first single in 2016 titled “Loose it” prod by Kay Beats Engineered by Magcikza. Late 2016 he collaborated with rapper Young Cruiz on a Smash Hit titled “Last nyt” prod by Dolla Beats That’s when he met Dolla Beats and started working with him

Early 2017 he released a track titled “Ghetto life” prod. By AC Druma which got the streets buzzing that motivated him to take mhttps://www.grammarcheck.net/img/free-usic more seriously.  he started working on more tracks with producer Dolla Beats. In 2018 he released his single “I’m a star” featuring Whitney Love prod. By Dolla Beats, in 2019 he dropped his track “Do it myself” featuring Tsepile prod. By Dolla Beats.
