What will STPs mean for general practice?

GP Podcast was invited to visit the Allum Medical Centre in Waltham Forest, north east London which has helped pioneer the use of physician associates in primary care. Senior partner Dr Ken Aswani is involved in a local transformation plans to recruit and train over 100 GP physician associates to help expand primary care and plug a projected 30% fall in GP numbers over the next five years.  GP reporter Neil Roberts spoke to Dr Aswani as well as local primary care transformation leader Dr Asma Ali, practice healthcare assistant, Selina Chaudhri, and advanced nurse practitioner Ruth Amartey.
