For all that you plan ahead in life, to try and create certainty out of chaos, some of the best moments come when you least expect them. 

And that’s true of the new release from Robert Burbidge and Winter, ‘A Voice of One Calling In The Wilderness.’

While improvising on a 1937 Chickering concert grand piano owned by Grammy-nominated engineer and producer Dennis Moody, LA composer Winter started ‘channelling something or someone’ and conjured the most incredibly moving four minutes of piano playing. And thankfully Moody was there to press record, otherwise, this moment would have been lost forever.
‘A Voice of One Calling In The Wilderness’ is released on March 17, 2023

The track was produced by Robert Burbidge and Steve Gligorovic and was recorded and mastered by Dennis Moody.

005 of our series is curated and mixed by Vancouver based ethereal electronica producer/DJ, Saif Ali. Born and raised in Pakistan, Saif got his early electronic music inspiration from the innovative sounds of the German project, Enigma (https://youtu.be/4F9DxYhqmKw). At first listen this genre of music inspired him through its euphoric and emotional reverberations and his style revolves around the realm of ethereal techno and deep house frequencies.

Part of the Leave Us Lost Collective (https://shorturl.at/irwKP), which are known for hosting some of Vancouver’s most eminent underground events, Saif has been very busy gigging as of late. Recently opening for Quivver (Anjunadeep) as well as recent bookings at Vancouver’s all night venues including Gorgomish and Vantek, he doesn’t show signs of slowing down; catch him next July 1 for the Leave Us Lost Lost all Day Party (https://shorturl.at/epDQ0).
