Do you shop around before picking out an outfit? What characteristics do you consider when you buying a new pair shoes? Is it the price, their  sophistication, or their lastability? Is any pair of shoes perfect? Does the brand Converse have the same sophistication as Versace shoes? Or does a hiking shoe have the same utility as does a dress shoe? 
Why is it that when people buy shoes they consider a huge range of factors, but when they decide on what country they associate with  “*quote andrew henderson* the average person:
Is born in one country, and spends their entire life living there
Goes to school–including university–in that same country
Gets a job in that country
Opens and maintains all of their bank accounts, retirement accounts, and savings accounts…in that country
Keeps the entirety of their finances in the national currency of that country
Owns real estate exclusively in that country
Stores their precious metals or other valuables in that country
Has only one passport and it’s from that country (if they have one at all!)”

A take away being that your idiosyncrasies doesn’t necessarily line up with the policies of the country of your birth or circumstances.

I hope to catalyze your interest in becoming a "perpetual traveler" (also "PT", "permanent tourist"). This PT refers to the idea that by basing different aspects of one's life in different countries and not spending too long in any one place, a person can reduce taxes, avoid civic duties [jury duty and whatnot], and increase personal freedom [choose to live in countries tolerant of you gender, sexuality, or unwillingness to pay taxes or 10% percent].

Governments are fickle. 
Why would you put all your eggs in one basket. Shouldn’t you lessen one's chance of loss by counterbalancing it with other bets.
