This is a piece of folk music style. The origin of Bansuri is “bans” and “swar” in the Sanskrit. Bans means bamboo, and swar means music. Combining the above two is the music made by bamboo. The flute in traditional Indian music, also known as the Bansuri, is one of the oldest instruments in India and is considered a very sensual and delicate instrument.

In addition, I attempted to integrate traditional instruments from many countries in the world, such as Bouzouki from Ireland, Guitarron from Mexico, and percussion instruments from Africa and Latin.

This piece has a fast tempo with triple metre. Bansuri is the main theme, playing a cheerful melody with brisk accompaniment of other ethnic instruments, using many percussion instruments to create a strong sense of rhythm, and adding long notes of vocals, such as a scene of people in the tribe dancing with the music near by the campfire at night.

這是一首民族音樂風格的作品。Bansuri 的字源為梵文的 bans 跟 swar，bans 意指竹子，swar 是指樂音，合起來便是竹子所發出的音樂。印度傳統音樂中的橫笛即稱為 Bansuri，是印度最為古老的樂器之一，被認為是非常感性、細緻的樂器。

本曲嘗試融合世界多國的傳統樂器，如愛爾蘭的 Bouzouki、墨西哥的 Guitarron，與非洲、拉丁等地的打擊樂器。

這首曲子速度很快，是三拍子的樂曲，以 Bansuri 作為主奏，演奏歡快的旋律，其他民族樂器輕快的伴奏，並使用許多打擊樂器，營造強烈節奏感，再加入悠長的人聲，宛如夜晚部落的營火旁，人們隨著音樂起舞的情景。

Actors Chen and Lin were rehearsing for a one-act play, but Chen fell in love with Lin in the process. Back to reality, Chen realized that she was just a lonely individual, the drama she was playing reflecting her true feelings.

The absurdity of the actors lies in the fact that they hand over their fragile souls every time, and the drama is fake and real at the same time. So Chen gave herself to the role again and again and fell into reincarnation.

Dancing Man - Dream Sequence

“When the Tides Rise” is inspired by the launching ceremony of the traditional Tao (Yami) sailing boats on Orchid Island in the Pacific. It symbolizes the courage to set sail, the yearning for the unknown, and the pursuit of a new homeland. The lively brass section opens the journey, followed by the flute presenting an adaptation of the Tao children’s song “Libangbang" (Song of the Flying Fish). In the middle section, the orchestra surges like rolling waves, and the piece concludes with the violin restating the children’s melody, signifying a successful voyage.
