2018 Ambient/Drone/Mellow(ish)

In preperation for the release of their Escape Velocity EP in September, Melbourne's Albrecht La'Brooy have based their contribution to the Voyage Series on a recording they uncovered of a space shuttle's launch dialogue. In their own words "It follows the progression of what we imagine it would be like in the moment of pre and post takeoff"

Escape Velocity will be released September 8, 2017.

Voyage Series 07: Albrecht La'Brooy

A dim light appears in the dead of winter, growing and flickering until a narrative of dark and light is born. Our next guest has mastered these icy narratives through the musical passages he constructs as Silent-One. An integral part of the From Another Mind crew out of Stuttgart, Silent-One has formed waterfalls from whispers as he continues to awe audiences with his carefully constructed DJ sets. In 2016 he launched his own label, Intimate Silence, which has since become a platform for artists such as PVNV, Głós, and Dold to explore the innermost depths of their music. In order to thaw us out from the inside, he has put together yet another hour of sonic soliloquy perfectly fitting for this frigid season. Enjoy!

Hey people, wish you a happy and healthy new year, I'm sure it will be as good as possible for all of us. Now I'm starting 2018 with one hour of wonderful ambient music by my dear friend Zhe Pechorin.

Zhe Pechorin is a project behind Angelina Micic, based in Belgrade, Serbia. In her music, she is trying to escape any kind of genre limitations in favor of transmitting her passion in finding the clear emotions, sense and beauty which will make a connection between people in the present moment. But, at the same time, that emotions contains melancholic atmosphere which is caused by her huge inspiration hidden in philosophy of existentialism and absurd. As she said, "tracks are reminding me of the feeling which I have always while I'm watching chimneys, they are very symbolic to me because they represent human creation, which is one of the greatest power that we have as human being. We built them to make that life easier, but it's destroying the nature, like we destroy ourselves".

This podcast is a beautiful representation of Angelina's universe: a passionated and emotionally charged ambient music, inviting to the inner journey and a deep reflection on the world: who are we? Where are we going ? What purpose ? One thing is certain, life, as we know it, evolves, and will soon not be the same as before.

Awkwardly Cast 006 / Low Position

Hey people, today I present you a podcast made by French artist JPLD.

DJ, producer and co-founder of the label Ōtium with Asfa, his music is a mix of ambient, drone, techno and dub. He draws his influence from the Scandinavian and Italian scenes, as well as from Japan, where he was able to perform at clubs like Contact and Air, for a MNML SSGS evening. His latest EP, '' Esana '', is inspired by his travels in Asia.
The set was recorded on 9/12/17 at Les Sonifères, in Paris, an ambient festival who takes the form of an "electronic nap", alongside artists such as Vâyu and Asfa. The goal was to find the balance between ambient, drone, glitch and idm, while keeping an effective melodic line. The mix, very introspective, is a journey to the heart of the universe of JPLD, and a transcript of the atmosphere of this nap.
The artwork is a drawing made by his father, appearing in the notebook released on Ōtium  as part of his last EP.
