Looking at the sunrise, 
flowing through the dusty blinds,
bleary-eyed, not really wanting to wake.  
Taking a deep breath and stretching away the sleep. 
I know it's gonna be a good day.
I Hope!  it's gonna to be a good day.

Skip the 'get ready' lyrics, hit the street, 
knowing it's for sure cold out there.

I hear the sounds, and the smells of my main street,
climate change giving a bit of repreive, 
from the usual deep freeze.
I know I shouldn't say it, but I like the warmth.

The familiar people I see in the hood, 
wishing the trees were green and the sun
bathing us with its warmth, 
as the winter concludes.
We're wishing for an end to the cold,
careful what you wish for!

I think we've forgotten some of the simple,
need  to get back to what matters.
Leave the tech, 
not a substitute for human interaction.
There's nothing that we need to argue about.
There's nothing to go on about.
Just take that day off and relax...
on a Summer Sunday.

Smartphone, computer... the same-same.
Everyone trying to yell louder than everyone else.

Hearing the bell on the steeple a block away,
being a non-church type, I say hey...
Hard to say anything without sounding like a preacher,

Screaming out softly

First, there was amazing music made by STONERJAZZ. Then, I composed a poem and integrated it, surprising myself with having written the first 'love' poem in a long time - and to Snow White of all fairy-tale people! To highlight it all, TEXMEX SHAMAN made the music ring out even more beautifully. Eventually I created some artwork, inspired (by some reason I don't grasp myself at the moment) by those expensive vinyl imports from Japan. It might have to do with how much I value Jeff's and Stephen's guitar playing and creativity. It's a thrill ride to collab with those two experimental musicologists ;-)

its officially Sunday the sickest day of the week WELCOME BACK it’s MY SICK SUNDAY! WHERE WE AT THO!? 
Today Im in recovery and Im thankful for being able to spread the joy of music and song. Since it can be such a truly healing experience, listening to a song that relates to what you are going through that no one can relate to with right now but someday that will change, and you may hear a song come on FINALLY that sings to your tormented soul. Trauma can affect everyone differently that’s why it’s really important to talk about it with people you can trust.

That’s why this song goes out to all the girls in my group therapy at outpatient treatment, counselors I’ve had, and other staff that has left a mark on my heart and everyone new I have met thus far in this sober journey. you have helped me get through some stuff I could never imagine getting through on my own seemed impossible now it’s possible with all of you so thank you! 😊
