"Patterns" is chapter III of my concept album "Ocean Inside Of Me". It's a song about falling into the same self-destructive cycles over and over again.

When I wrote “If I Was No More” I was in a really dark place, and it was a painful one to write. It’s not easy to talk about that headspace where everything got so heavy that part of me craved to no longer be there to bear it. It’s a scary thought, one that comes with a lot of guilt and shame. Out of all the songs on the album this one is the one that feels the hardest to share, even now, from the other side. But it’s also one of the best songs I have ever written and it’s an important one to share. With this one music does what it does best - express those things that words alone can’t carry.

If I Was No More

"Swallow The Sea" is one of the last songs written for "Ocean Inside Of Me," after realizing that all the songs I had written about shame didn’t fit the story of the album. There were some really dark songs full of anger at myself that felt cathartic to write but did not belong on the album. It’s almost ironic that the hardest song to write was the one about keeping my struggles hidden. I wanted the song to express how my mind isolated me from the people who love me, how detached from reality and lost I felt. And since I hadn’t dared to write those words at the time, I found them in my healing process from a place of reflection.

Swallow The Sea

"Not Ready" is a song about realising that you are more than your struggles and that you're not ready to give up on hope.  When I was depressed I got to a point were I could see losing myself if I didn't change something, this song was written as an admission that I need help that it's time to stop digging my own grave and reach out. It's not really a gentle song, it's a cry for help fueled by a long time of staying silent and pushing through. It gets messy, it gets real, and that's ok. I hope this one can reach those that might be going through something similar and remind them that they are not alone and worthy of love and support.

Not Ready

I've always preferred writing sad lyrics, that's probably why Black and Blue is one of my favourite songs.

I wrote it in Ireland after a very busy day. It's a song about being lost, forgetting what life is for, feeling meaningless...

It is a song full of dark thoughts, but it's also a call for help.

For me it represents the internal fight of someone who lost the will to live, someone just scared of himself, of the ideas in his head and full of doubts. Someone who really just wants someone to save him, to bring him home.

It's not a song about me or anyone I know. It's a song about everyone who walks down the rails looking for a light. I hope everyone gets home safe.

Black and Blue

Christmas lights is a song I wrote while I was in Ireland at the end of 2016. I was invited to play at a Christmas concert with Make a Change, a local group of very talented musicians.

As I loved the Irish Christmas flair with the cold air, shimmering trees and cups of tea with bakery, I decided to write a song for the concert just about that.

So Christmas lights is a song about my December in Ireland, away from home. But as beautiful as it was I did miss my loved ones, reflected in the line ‚and I wonder if you could make my dreams come true and spend it here with me‘.

I wrote this song in my room, without really knowing what I was writing about. This happens to me quite a lot... and in this case it turned out to be good.

I played it to my parents and they really liked it (all my songs have to pass the "parents' opinion" test).

So my dad and I recorded it together. We changed some things while recording, like the double chorus at the end. After a lot of teamwork the final version was ready.

Now the song feels like travelling with adventures, new people and sometimes a bit lonely too.

I remember playing it on the streets of Waterford in Ireland and feeling a strong connection.

I'm a traveller too, with the hope to find my destination.

Luna Keller - Packing my bags

I was sitting on a plane watching the sunset, when I heard the melody of this song in my head. I wrote some lyrics and recorded it into my phone.

When I arrived home I added some chords, but they weren't anything special. It was my dad, who tuned his guitar to open D and came up with the guitar. I loved it.

We recorded the song shortly afterwards, but even though the voice and guitar sounded good together, something was missing. A bit later we met Bruce White, a brilliant viola player, who completed the song with his instrument.

I was at the airport again when I received the final mix of the song via email and listened to the finished version during the flight. I cried - my little melody turned into a real song.

The first single from my EP 'Alice is in Love with the Mad Hatter'. The song starts with acoustic guitar and vocals and adds quickly more instruments. The climax is the last chorus with a choir arrangement.

Alice is in Love with the Mad Hatter is probably the most metaphorical song I’ve ever written, since all the characters really represent a part of us. We all are a little Alice and we all have a Mad Hatter inside us. A Mad Hatter that doesn’t really fit into the normal world, because he is from wonderland. Maybe your Mad Hatter likes to dance in the rain or he really enjoys talking to strangers about the weather. He sings loudly in the shower, gets lost in a big city, eats chocolate or draws little flowers in your notebook.

Some call him the inner child and everyone has a unique one. Some might hide their Mad Hatter and hardly let him do what he wants, while others enjoy letting him loose and have a lot of fun with him. Yet I’m sure that everyone loves him.

Alice is in Love with the Mad Hatter celebrates our inner child - even if it’s not always logical nor does it always make sense.
