Phil J real name Nimrod Muga is a 21-year-old university student and Rap Artiste hailing from Lang’ata, Nairobi, Kenya. Fell in love with rap music back in high school but started rapping in 2013 right after his high school studies. In December 2013, Phil J formed Jordan Boyz KE (JORDAN BOYZ) an alternative rap and Fashion group. As of March 19 2017, Phil J had released four singles and four mix tapes all of which were released on CD format and Digital Format on sites including YouTube, Datpiff, Audio Mack and Sound cloud. 
Phil J released his Debut Mix tape on December 1st 2014, named TAKEOFF. The Single “Thank God for Hip-hop” featuring WORK HARD label Producer TANA P received some radio airplay and was popular among University Students. After the release, Phil Jordan focused more on signing new artists to his imprint, in the process-discovering musicians such as Jordan Trapar and Young Sosa. 
On April 1st 2015, Phil J released his sophomore mix tape titled ‘FIRST QUARTER’ featuring Kenyatta University based record label, SINCE 89, the tape spanned the Singles  ‘Over It’ and ‘Church’ featuring Njogu.
2016 was definitely his best year as he released TAKEOFF 2 spanning singles such as ‘MY LIFE’ and ‘STEVE NASH’. Having appeared on the Bank Otuch video, which was the biggest hit in Kenya at that time, Phil J was riding on a wave. The visuals to one of his biggest hits to date – My Life- debuted on YouTube that September. In December that year, Phil Jordan released his debut EP titled WUOD MAGAK that featured artistes such as Sosa Jordan, Kamar and Tana P with productions from Riccobeatz. The EP was free for download on Audio Mack and Sound Cloud.
