My life has been a mess for about seven years. My childhood was filled with abuse from both my mother and my father. One day my father tried to kill my mother and me. Let’s just say he tried to throw my mother down twenty stairs. I was awoken by screaming and cussing from the hallway. I literally got up at the right time, I ran out of my room to see my father getting ready to push her down the stairs. So me being a twelve year old tries to ￼intervene ￼by punching him to till he backed up from my mother. When he did I tried to tell him to chill the hell out. It was to no avail. He was absolutely drunk and highly aggravated. So I took him to pound town and broke his nose. My mother was on the phone with the police telling them that he is on a rampage. Then she told me to go downstairs to unlock the doors for the police to enter. While I was doing that I heard my mother screaming again. So I lost my shit and grabbed a empty bottle of rum and was about to shatter it on a table to get a weapon. And then it hit me that if I go through with this violent thought I could also be arrested for murder or attempted murder. So I dropped the bottle and went back upstairs to find my father opening the gun safe to retrieve the pistol to most likely kill both me and my mother, then himself. That would be a murder suicide. I got between him and the safe and started pummeling the shit out of him. Finally he got the message that I wasn’t fucking around with him. He then shoved me into the wall and walked away from the safe. He walked downstairs to sit down. Then the police arrived. And when they arrived they saw him bleeding from his face and his fists. They dropped him like a fly and arrested him for attempted murder.
