We are proud to present Metodi Hristov for our next OFF SPIN Release. With his unique style, ranging from the darker side of tech house, Bulgarian-based Producer Metodi Hristov presents a 3-track Ep with some acid house  elements and a wide range of forward going soundspaces.

“Another Day“, first Track of the EP, starts with some radical percussion based house that leads to a gliding deep base, underlined by vocals.

In collaboration with Gallya on “She Said“, the duo takes it to the deeper level and combines spheric sounding percussion with gliding mallet notes which distinguish the track. Afterhour straightness that involves all leftovers to move.

Last but not least, Simone Vitullo adds an arpeggiated techhouse-version of “Another Day“ to the EP. A dark sub surrounded by minimalistic hats and strict but heavy beats bring down the sound of an great acidic house work.

Definitely an EP to play at dark and dusty hours.

Since Stefano Noferini's debut release on Monika Kruse's label Terminal M Records in the beginning of 2015 he released some more of his hi quality clubtunes on his own label Deeperfect, Toolroom Trax and Stereo Productions. For these three new tracks he teamed up with Metodi Hristov from Sofia, Bulgaria's capital who's releases and remixes on Rejected, Time Has Changed and Noir Music were always sure chart toppers. 2015 was a pretty exciting year for AKA AKA & Thalstroem. To emphasize the special connection to their fans, they’ve consequently named their second album „Connected“. And this love is mutual and strong because for the second time after 2014 the Berlin-based trio was again voted by the readers of Faze Magazine as best „live act“
As their LP has been the result of cooperative collaborations, the trio starts the new year with some proper remixes of „True“, which was originally created together with their befriended deep house crew Chasing Kurt. AKA AKA & Thalstroem not only shared some festival stages with Raumakustik, even some of their latest podcasts included music from the Dresden-based producers. Raumakustik’s version isn’t just increasing the tempo, thanks to their percussive high energy level as well as playful and trance melody, „True“ gets a heated foundation that is aiming the dance floor. While the DJ duo Junge Junge is highlighting the original’s dreamy soul aesthetics with both their remix as well as radio edit, Pele & Shawnecy turning „True“ into some kind of gloomy, rolling techno beast that only get its color strokes by some of these used vocal loops. AKA AKA & Thalstroem has announced that 2016 will be more clubby again. „True Remixes“ delivers the first impressive evidence that they’re definitely serious about their own promises.

‘Glutes’ is peak-time material without being overly fast or chaotic, the energy instead coming from the transportive arrangement and emotive melodic content. The same can be said for Bäumel’s ‘Surge’ on Kompakt, an anthem in the sets of Tale Of Us last year which led to this release.

The title track rises and falls, surging with wide-sweeping synth notes and a steady rhythm to anchor the waves. An infectious refrain pulls you further in and, right on cue, the kick drum continues to beat the sweet spot. ‘Engage’ is filled with similarly subtle details, uplifting arpeggios and atmospheric reverb. Half-way through the melody bursts into life, shining brightly through the haze and creating one of those moments of release that make the Afterlife sound work so well on a dancefloor.
