Here's a small collection of music pieces I did to practice the new style I'm creating for the "Thrills on Rails" series I'm developing.
This style is heavily based off of TATMR's orchestral music with a mix of the iconic O'Donnell and Campbell's OG score and catchy style.

It has already been 2 years now since my return back to SoundCloud and making Thomas music again! I'm very happy to be back, seeing how many of you folks out there making music grew and improved. I still wanna Thank you all so mutch for the support through the years, at my beginning, at my hiatus and 'till this day. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you guys to call me back here. Thank You!!!
So to celebrate this day, I've decided to make something special:

For the longest time ever, I've wanted to make my own Thomas Trainz Series. I never could, because assets and routes never worked to the fullest, but now with TS19, I got to fix most of the problems. I've been practising filming in Trainz and video editing, like with the short "Edward's Juncion" video I creaded not too long ago. I already have plenty of story ideas too, just need the time to make the scripts and filming.

But I thought, if I can't get to the video parts yet, why not do the musical parts while I still can? So I created this theme for the intro. It's a mashup of all possible Thomas Intro Themes throughout the years: Classic, HiT, Brenner, BWBA and AEG, with some sound editing. This is actually inspired by @thomasfanforever Intro using the "My Little Pony" instrumental intro Theme Song. I loved the energy the Song had with it's synthy, pop rock style to it and it was perfect for an intro.

Man, I really love the sound of this! The tunes are mashed up perfectly in my oppinion. Now the plan would be to get to recording and editing a possible intro video for this as a test. I have no idea when I'll get to it or how long it'll take, but I'm very looking foward to it! And I hope that, whenever I get to publish it, that you'll enjoy it^^!

Thrills on Rails Intro Theme -My future Trainz Series(Plz Do Not Use/Read NEW Description)

So here's a theme sampleto practice a new style I want to try out for my Trainz Series "Thrills on Rails". This would be a theme idea that would play in an episode involving Thomas and Rosie.

Usually music for my series will not be for the public to use, but this one's allowed to be used, since it's just a practice piece. Don't forget the Credit though!

For my Trainz series I visioned to have a bit of a TATMR style to it. That means the cast would have voices in a TATMR style, characters would make most of the dialoug with a decent amount of narration and of course orchestrated cinematic music:
I love the cinematic music in TATMR and orchestral in general and would like to addapt that TATMR music style for my series, but not in it's entirety.

I made the desition to make a unique style for my series: A sorta hybrid of the classic synths and percuission and TATMR orchestral instruments. It would be mostely orchestraded with some parts unsing the classic percuissions and synths if it needs to be catchy. So far I like this result, very dynamic.

I'm very excided to make more samples like these and improve this new style!

Haha, not done yet for today! Here's another theme sample for my Trainz Series, a more calmer theme of Toby with Percy. I imagine this being like a scene, wher Percy and Toby are in the yard of Ffarquar having a little chat.

I imagine this like at a scene where Edward and James are at Wellsworth at the end of a busy day and Edward says how proud he is of James' hard work, which makes James feel very happy.

Man, this piece can actually make me tear, ngl. I love this sweet flute, then transitioning to a sweet, but upbeat jazzy tune.

I rly like how this theme ended up. It's very elegant and somewhat feels magical, It's pretty colse to sound like as if it came straight from TATMR.

I was really excided to make this one. FIrstly, I wanted to use the Hit era runaway theme again and secondly, I wanted to try a dramatic theme with the new style for the first time. I'm really happy eith this result. All the different melodies varying of Rosie's, Classic Runaway, Hit Runaway, Percy, not to mention the tense feeling you get hearing this, it gives chills, especialy towards the end.

Runaway Rosie - Runaway Theme Mashup (PLZ DO NOT USE)

I wanted to try to make something more heart-warming, cosy, while still sounding poretty grand and majestic, and I've always wanted to do some kind of loose cover of "This is your Shining Time" (I like that song)
So that's how this was made; using that song as the base and adding other theme bits like The Viaduct, Really Useful Engine and the Island Song. Dare I say, I almos cryed sometimes when listening to this^^

Some Updates regarding my Trainz Series of "Thrills on Rails": I nearely finished writing the script for the pilot episode. You can find hints of the story on my twitter.
If you are a VA, I'm also gonna prepare a Casting Call soon, where you can have the chance to voice a character.
I'm also working on a short trailer too. Most of the footage is filmed, but still need to do the editing. I can't say for sure, when you'll get to see them, but when the ball keeps rolling this steadily, it can get done sooner than you think!

This would be the first music piece for the Pilot episode of my "Thrills on Rails" Trainz series. Thomas would be a little cheeky to Percy with a train of coal their delivering. I used this song to make it a little ironic with this scene.
The jazz/groovy style was made to make it feel more silly and boucey to capture cheekiness.
Overall, very happy with this one and am very excided to create more for the pilot.

This was so much fun to create as well as film and edit the trailer! I wanted to try to mix in the calm nature Thomas is known for using the orchestral instruments as well as give the music a kick of a catchy and up-beat feel to it with the drums and guitar. You may even hear some classic synths in here too.
Does anyone get slight anime vibes with this?

Not gonna say mutch, other than Thomas & Percy  help the heavy goods train up the hill. They struggled, made it to the top and triumphantly raced down the other side with praise from their crew. That's what I was aiming for when I made this theme, to capture the feeling of the scene.

Little Engine Triumph - Little Engines Theme Freelance (PLZ DO NOT USE)

Here's a new short theme for a new short video for the Thrills on Rails Series: A Mini-Series called: Meet the Characters.

So I randomly made this theme to practice a more S4 styled Thomas theme when my brother hit me with a fun idea: As he mentioned SSB's reveal trailers, I thought to myself: "What if T&F had that?" So I purposed this theme to go along as Thomas' "Character Trailer" for a "Meet the Characters" series to go along with the planned main series and shorts.

So for the theme, I wanted it to be based on his S4 theme, but also balanced it with his S1, S5 theme and added the TATMR and a little Hartshorne style to it. I wanted to capture his mature character, while still ceeping his bouncy and cheeky charactrer. Overall, I'm very happy with this and I hope you enjoy it too ;)

I'm hoping to slowly start filming later this month and rly hope to get the pilot done by the end of the year.
Next year I have to do military duty from mid January 'till mid May, which means I won't be able to work on madia for quite a while. I only have the weekends time for any of that, but I would like to also use that time to rest and relax propperly for the next tough week. So you could say I'd be on a 4 month hyatus.

I hope that things can go well this year and next. It's gonna be a tough time, but I'll try to pull through this and I hope you guys don't mind the long wait. After that I'm certain media will come out a lot more regulary.

Production is going very well, however I won't be able to finish the pilot before my leave as I hoped, but I managed to finish a small sneak peak of the 1st scene that starts the story, without spoiling anything major of the plot. A small preview of how the pilot and future episodes will look like.
There're also a few minor pieces I had to cut out due to the footage being too short.

It's been a while since I made a music piece not related to the ToR pilot. So here's a new theme I created for fun: The Sodor / Thomas's Theme from AEG.

I've been watching AEG a bit more lately and found more enjoyment from it than I use to. For example, I couldn't help but love them music that was in it. It has some lovely music pieces in there and the Sodor theme is no exception.

I wanted to make another up-beat but sweet & happy tune with this one, using inspiration of some of the original variant I heard in the series.

It's bee a while since I sat down at my keyboard and freelanced with some music. This week I finally decided to dedicate some of my time to create a short music piece for fun. I let you guys vote on my twitter with 4 images, which one you'd like me to base a music piece off of and James ended up winning the round.

You just can't go wrong with James here. Somehow I always end up enjoying myself arranging any theme of his just from how fun it always is and this piece is no exception. I took this opportunity to mash-up all his different themes from the series into one short piece, influencing the jazz element from his season 1 theme as a basis.
