This clarinet quartet was written originally for four bass clarinets but in this form provides a ‘groovy’ addition to the standard clarinet quartet repertoire. It has been enjoyed in quartet performances by players and audiences alike and is a great work-out for the bass clarinetist. I really enjoyed making this as Thomas The Tank Engine was the show I had the most memories of growing up and the fact the original books started 75 years ago is something to be proud of. Keep on puffing Thomas, even if you're at your lowest point.
