At a time of intense media interest, we know that the initial phase of the CMA review has resulted in challenging circumstances for veterinary teams. 

We’re here to help you and your teams to navigate the CMA review.

We know you may have questions about the CMA’s investigation – whether common queries from clients, understanding what it may mean for your practice and your team, and what may happen next.

We also want to highlight the opportunities which the CMA review and subsequent market investigation could bring. One of the areas of concern identified by the initial review has been the outdated Veterinary Surgeons Act – of which we have long called for reform, to include protection of the ‘veterinary nurse’ title. Long overdue attention given to this legislation will improve animal and human health and welfare, plus provide the opportunity to consider how the RVN role could be enhanced further.
