This is a live performance of Dave Brubeck's "La Fiesta de la Posada" from Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in 2003. The piece is a musical setting of the traditional Mexican nativity story. This version is orchestrated for a small, mariachi style band of 2 flutes, 2 trumpets, 2 guitars, 2 marimbas, harp, bass and percussion, with Maestro Brubeck at the piano, of course. The band accompanies a large SATB chorus, a children's chorus, and several soloists.

As a working musician on the NYC jazz scene, he performed and recorded as a guitarist, featured soloist, and arranger with Tania Maria, Jon Lucien, Lonnie Liston Smith, the Paul Winter Consort, Chico Hamilton, Dianne Reeves, Dave Brubeck, John Patitucci, Letta M’Bulu, and Harry Belafonte.

Dan Carillo and Common Good is a trio with Andrew Bergmann on bass and Aaron Walker on drums. We play an eclectic style of contemporary instrumental jazz that includes elements of straight-ahead jazz, gospel, blues, Americana, and chamber jazz, as well as world influences from the Caribbean, Brazil, and the Near East.
