The Art of it

‘Feel Again' was written after a meaningless hookup where I felt a desire for something deeper. As a young adult in LA, I was definitely influenced by our modern "hookup culture" to be satisfied with meaningless physical relationships but I began to feel empty and realized that as humans, one of our primary needs is true connection, care and affection. The song was written in the moment when I realized I wanted more. Literally a few weeks later, I met the love of my life.

"Hey, I'm David Nevory and I'm a Singer-Songwriter based in Cologne, Germany. Head Tied Up is my latest single, which I‘ve been really excited to release, because I think it adds some sort of ease and liveliness to my music. Although the lyrics are actually about a hard time in a long relationship and about the doubts and fear that come with it, I still wanted the song to have this slightly uptempo feel and some folky rhythm going on. I guess it became some sort of contrast to the lyrics, which I really like."
